Gracie's 7th birthday

Another year has come and gone and Gracie just turned 7. What a true blessing she is!!!! I just love her giggle and her smiles and how she loves to learn. Here are a few pics of her birthday.

Laundry area remodel

Keller took a 5 day weekend and we worked hard to finish the laundry area. It looks so amazing. We purchased a new washer and dryer at Thanksgiving and it was back ordered till December 30th. So it gave us time to remodel and get rid of the old set. We also had a new refridgerator delivered that weekend too. It was like Christmas all over again. ;)

First we removed all the old laminent tiles, found some mold. ICKY ICKY ICKY and cleaned that up. Then we painted, Keller built me better shelving and I tiled the floor, and then Keller put in the base board. It was not only a fun project for us to work on together but it also was a trial run for more projects to come. So bathrooms here we come!!!!!

Christmas Day 2009

We had a blessed Christmas this year. We really wanted to focus on our Lord and Savoir being born, family and friends this year and not on all the things that can sometimes crowd our holiday season.

Christmas day my mom came over and we had a wonderful time opening stockings and presents and had our traditional family breakfast, eggs benedict. We reflected on our first Christmas without my dad and how we missed him on that special day. Then we headed out to Keller's parent's house and had a fun time opening presents. We had a yummy smoked turkey dinner and lots of great sides.
