Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day Too you all!!!!! We love you and hope you have a great day sharing your LOVE on this day!!! We celebrated a little bit early with the kids and made Valentines with a friend and came home and exchanged cards with one another. Keller brought Gracie and I gerber daisies and Ashten a little airplane....but the best gift of all is spending time together. Tomorrow night Keller and I are going to a dinner put on by the youth at our church. They set up tables and serve dinner to the couples. It should be lots of fun. The kids are going to Noni's house and having a yummy dinner with her. Our camera is broken and being repaired so I will just put an old photo up for fun.

Sleeping puppy

Mr. Lynley decided he liked his new carrier bag. :) He would not go near it at first and so we would put it in the play pen with him and then just have it out so he could get used to it. Then the other night we looked over and he was sleeping in it. :0) What a cute little guy.

He is training us all very well. HEHEHE He is a very sweet little guy but man can he bark at night when he would rather be with us than the crate. The first three nights we had him he barked all night. By night 3 at 3am we just could not take it anymore and he was in bed with us. Funny thing we all slept. After that we have slowly gotten him back in his crate sleeping in the family room.

The newest member of our family: Lynley

This is Lynley. He is a Yorkshire Terrier and about 8 weeks old. Nuff said. :) Because we know that there will be many questions about his name...here it is: He is named after Elizabeth George's Detective Inspector Thomas Lynley... http://www.elizabethgeorgeonline.com/books.htm

In Loving Memory

On January 11, 2009 we lost my dad and the kids NUNU. We are saddened by our loss but the Good Lord is strengthening us in our time of sadness and we will continue to seek after Him!!!

Thank you all for your loving prayers and support and like Galatians 6 says bearing one another's burdens. What a blessing!!!

Oh Christmas tree OhChristmas tree

Today we went and cut down a beautiful Christmas tree. We thought it would be fun to start a new family tradition. We went to a place called Dixie Valley north of our house by Lake Frenchman. It had snowed the night before and it made for a lovely drive. We normally go up there in the summer to spend time at the lake. The snow made for a whole new look at a familiar place.

We had planned to take our annual family photo before tree cutting...but that proved to be a bad idea. =) We dressed more for the family photo than we did for warmth. And needless to say we were a bit cold. So after hiking a little ways we found the perfect tree cut it down, posed for a few pics with the tree and heading back to the truck to get warm. Then home to decorate.

Our house smells wonderful with pine scent and the tree turned out neat. It is pretty funny though having had fake trees for so many years with what seem to be perfect branches. And now having a natural tree with branches scattered about. So decorating was a bit harder because you could not always put an ornament where you thought it should go because there was no branch. =) All in all we decided to be happy for the imperfections.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my Aunt Teresa and Uncle Alan's house with my dad's side of the family. We made a lot of fun memories.
